I've looked high and low for a good page turner and I can tell you for a fact that this one is the best out there. Don't settle for a cheaper product that may cost only one-third of the price. I tried other page turners and I can tell you that they did not work very well. This product is worth every penny. I have pasted a quote from "QUEST" magazine below regarding page turners, which beautifully illustrates my point:"For more than 20 years, I've read with the aid of a page turner, which is basically an easel upon which a book/magazine rests. By pressing a switch, a mechanical arm swings across, presses a lump of putty into the right-hand page, swings back and (hopefully) turns the page. When a page turner works, it's a miracle. When it doesn't work, it's a source of anger and frustration. If the putty doesn't stick, the page won't turn at all. If the putty sticks too well, the page is torn instead of turned."I bought this direct from the manufacturer via a European contact and they gave it to me at a discount. I'm passing this discount on to the buyer. I'm not making any money on this, I'm selling it for as much as it costs me. This unit was not put into operation for its intended user. Only the box was opened and the unit was assembled to make sure that everything works. A 120 volt to 220 volt converter is included. This unit normally costs over $3,800 without the switch controller. You would have to pay the dealer an additional $500 for the switch. See the link below. The joystick is used by directing the control in each of the 4 directions which relate to the 4 controls. The joystick is supplied on an articulated mount with a G-clamp. We no longer need this unit and would like to sell it at the discounted price we paid for it to someone who can really use it. This GEWA page turner has an authorized vendor here in the US (see link below), but they still put you on a waiting list for several weeks before delivering it, because they order from the manufacturer in Sweden. I know this because I had to wait almost two months to receive this one.
